March 24, 2012 | 10:00 AM | The Weekly Wrap | By Maxfield Barker

Ah yes the weekend. These are the days that we all dream of. Now let’s sit back and take a look at all the happenings we at DLT brought to you this past week.

Do you feel the need for speed? If you do, then the Windgate Ranch Festival of Speed should be your destination this Sunday to check out some exotic automobiles your fellow Arizonans have the pleasure of driving. On March 27, SMoCA will hosts its Slide Slam series presentation at 7:00 p.m. to spotlight some the Valley’s most dynamic architects and their recent projects.

Are you ready for the Toro Loco Challenge? These two mud runs and obstacle courses offer something for the whole family, even our four legged friends. It’s almost April, have you done your taxes yet? Thanks to Shauna Wekherlien, this tax season just got a lot easier. This week’s addition of Dwelling of the Week brought us the Al Beadle Sanctuary, a gorgeous Mid-Century modern home located near Camelback Mountain.

Everyone knows that we love our treats and desserts at DLT and with Easter just around the corner we brought some delicious truffles courtesy of Julia Baker Confections. Speaking of desserts, we sat down with the lovely ladies behind Whoopie Baking Co. to talk about their passions and why everyone should make some whoopie. The Biltmore Fashion Park get UNION-ized. No not Jimmy Hoffa style unions, it’s a new shopping experience.

That’s all for this week, we’ll see you on Monday!
