FOTO PIZZAIt’s been three years since Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana opened its doors in Scottsdale. But as we all know, change is the only contant. Thus, the pizzeria will be heading downtown. Which is cool, because downtown Phoenix needs to keep growing. Anyway, their new home will be on the historic 1st street. Executive Chef Matteo Schiavone will obviously maintain the quality food items, some of which are imported straight from Italy. Located near the ASU Downtown campus and the Phoenix Public Market, the new location is guaranteed to bring in more business. The downtown location will open its doors on May 28 with a grand opening party on May 31.

A New Spring Fresh Pizza at Grimaldi’s

April 3, 2013 | 11:00 AM | Eat & Drink | By Maxfield Barker

Proschiutto pizzaThe always excellent Grimaldi’s Pizzeria likes to introduce a new pie that’s fitting to the season. Since spring is officially here, Grimaldi’s Prosciutto Pizza will be taking over the menu and our taste buds. It’s a classic white pizza topped with sliced Italian prosciutto, shredded parmesan and fresh arugula. Using the freshest ingredients, handmade mozzarella, “secret recipe” sauce and hand tossed dough, this isn’t your average pizza joint. The new pie debuted on April 1 and on National Garlic Day (April 19), there’s a possibility you’ll be able to enjoy the pizza with some pretty awesome food deals.
