Celebrate Chinese the New Year With Drinks and Surprises

February 6, 2013 | 11:00 AM | Eat & Drink | By Maxfield Barker

image007From February 11 to February 24, P.F. Chang’s will be celebrating Chinese New Year with a Red Envelope Giveway and specialty cocktails. In honor of the 15-day Chinese celebration, anyone who stops by any P.F. Chang’s in the United States between those dates will receive a red envelope containing an unknown reward. If you love surprises, then you probably head to P.F. Chang’s in a couple days.

So, once you get your envelope, you must wait until your next visit to see what your prize is (there’s always a catch, isn’t there? But P.F. Chang’s has great food, so we’re not even mad). The secret offer could be a discount ranging from 10%-30% off of your meal, free appetizer, complimentary dessert, or a FREE meal up to $75. So why not go?

We did mention cocktails. Check out these specialty cocktails and Chinese beer.

BUBBLE T-I-NI: Our version of an adult bubble tea. Absolut Cherrykran vodka, a mix of cherry, white cranberry and plum flavors, is shaken with Aperol Liqueur and cranberry juice and garnished with lychee boba pearls.

LUCKY V.S: Our twist on the classic Sidecar cocktail with Courvoisier V.S. shaken with Cointreau, lemon and sugar.

TSINGTAO: A pilsner-style lager with a crisp, refreshing flavor and nutty, sweet taste.

Run With The Dragon

Every January, the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon takes over the streets of the Valley. This year is special. It is the 10th year the event has taken place and P.F. Chang’s wants to make a memorable race.

On Sunday, January 20, the half marathon takes place and Chang’s challenges to you beat the dragon. Literally. A team of local runners will don the traditional Chinese running dragon (see photo) that spans 43 feet. Your goal is to beat that dragon. And if you beat the dragon, your reward will be sweet.

Everyone who successfully defeats the dragon will be offered free dessert from P.F. Chang’s. The options include, Tiramisu, Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Chocolate Torte

P.F. Chang’s Introduces Pad Thai

October 4, 2012 | 2:00 PM | Eat & Drink | By Maxfield Barker

Pad Thai, it’s one of our favorite Thai dishes. We were excited to hear that P.F. Chang’s will be offering it. Starting yesterday, and for a limited time only, you can enjoy this delicious traditional dish, in celebration of National Noodle Day on Oct. 6.

With entrees starting at $12.95, for a limited time, you can order a sweet and savory combination of rice noodles, egg, tofu, bean sprouts, crushed peanuts, crispy shallots, cilantro and lime, topped with a choice of shrimp, chicken or a combination of both.

To go even further, Chang’s has recommended some great wines to go along with these noodle dishes. The Fillaboa Albarino offers layers of tropical fruit and crisp acidity, while the Garnet Pinot Noir provides lush fruit, spice and rich textures.

Remember folks, this is for a limited time, so head into your nearest P.F. Chang’s asap.
