If the lamp shade is plain (if not, you can pick one up no problem), grab a sharpie and start writing. Penmanship is key here. You want everyone to able to read the wise words you write. Speaking of which, what will you write? Pick out your favorite poem, you’re favorite motivational quote, that line from that movie you love. The possibilities are endless.

DIY Friday (On A Sunday): Posh Pinwheels

This do-it-yourself project is not about practicality or even about resuing and recycling (sorry). It’s about adding a little sparkle to a drab space. In this case, the “sparkle” is paper-button pinwheels. The inspirations? Scarlet O’Hara, parasols and the Victorian Era.
