If you’ve never heard of the Heart Attack Grill in Chandler, it’s not for lack of trying by the gentleman pictured above. Sadly, Blair River, the 6 foot 8, 575 pound spokesman for this death-defying burger joint died earlier this week at the age of 29. Founded by the scummy super-classy John Basso, the Heart Attack Grill made headlines nationwide for its fat-fueled menu (Quadruple Bypass Burger and Flatliner Fries cooked in pure lard), as well as its stripper-like waitresses.
Burger joints are seemingly taking over the Valley. Some are incredible, and some are just downright different. At Indulge Burgers and More in north Scottsdale, you can expect a little of both.
On an insane burger challenge, that is. The rumblings have been echoing around the Valley for a while. Rumors of a beefy monstrosity stacked an artery-clogging nine-patties high and larded up with an equal amount of melted cheese slices.
