This weekend, the much anticipated Man of Steel was released worldwide. It’s already generated millions of dollars and that is partly due to the enormous marketing campaign that went along with it. One of those marketers is Dodge. To commemorate the return of Superman, Dodge has made the Ram Man Of Steel Truck. It’s dark gray paint job is one of a kind, the red grill accents give it the perfect touch of superhero. The best part is the Superman “S” on the frontend. This truck won’t be mass produced and you better believe the price is still TBA.
Has it really been 50 years since the first Porsche 911 came out? To celebrate a half century of amazing sports car, check out the 911 50th Anniversary Edition. Its 430 horsepower engine can reach speeds of 186 mph and can go from zero to 60 in just 4.2 seconds. It has 20-inch wheels, a rear engine, rear-wheel drive, and a sport exhaust system. Sure, it costs $125,000 but it’s a Porsche. Well, not just a Porsche but a German engineering marvel 50 years in the making.
Today’s edition of Are You My Ride? is for the dads who love the outdoors. The brand new Ford Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV is the perfect blend of pick-up truck and SUV. Well, it’s actually based on the Ford Raptor pick-up. But if your dad is in the market for an SUV, this one comes highly recommended. It features third-row seating, upgraded tires and wheels, and a supercharged engine. The bad news is that they’re aren’t making a lot of these, so, you should act quickly.
This may be the coolest Volkswagen we’ve ever seen. That’s probably because it’s a concept but it’s cool nonetheless. The Volkswagen Design Vision GTI Concept looks like something out of a science-fiction movie. Its twin-turbo 3.0L V6 will get you 503 horsepower. You’ll be able to go from 0 – 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds. That’s a fast VW, especially with its topspeed of 186 mph. Sure enough, there is no price or release date announced. We’ll let you know.
This is a ride that we’re more than willing to bet that none of us will have the luxury of owning. The Lamborghini Egoista Concept is probably the most ridiculous concept car we’ve ever seen. Egoista is Italian for selfish. By looking at this car, if you were to own it, that title would be accurate. Sharp edges, orange rims, and an orange windshield, there is absolutely nothing practical about this ride. The interior, more like a cockpit, is made of carbon fiber and aluminum. It features racing seats and a heads up display. There is no price yet and you can bet there is not word if it will even be built. It’s easy on the eyes, though.
It is time again to get your hopes up. Today’s ride is the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo. It’s a Porsche. It’s a 911 Turbo. You know it’s going to be good. This year’s model has some brand new features like an all-wheel-drive system and a longer chassis. It also features an anti-roll system which is awesome for taking tight corners (not that you should be) and LED headlights. Its standard engine is a turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder thats pumps out 520 horsepower. For $198,000, this ride can be all yours.
This isn’t your mother’s Land Rover. This is the Land Rover Defender LXV Special Edition. And it is very special. This is the 65th anniversary edition, hence the Roman numerals in its name. There aren’t very many car models that can say they’ve reached such an achievement. Its 2.2L diesel engine isn’t built for speed, but for life expectancy. There’s a lot we don’t know about this ride, like price and US release, for example. But we can tell, this ride was meant to last.
The engineers at Mercedes really know what they’re doing. At first glance, the stunning Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept looks like a car in a sci-fi movie. It might as well be because it is indeed a concept — for now. The crossover runs a turbocharged 2.0L engine that gets about 208 horsepower. This ride isn’t about muscle, though. The headlights are lasers that have the ability to project images. The air vents shine colored lights; blue for cold, red for hot. It also features two HD cameras on the roof that can be removed whenever you feel like it. Also, we probably won’t see this ride on the road anytime soon.
Maserati, the epitome of class. If you have the means and are looking for a new ride, look no further. The 2014 Maserati Ghibli has everything you want. This car is the perfect blend of sports car and high-end sedan and will put your friends who driver Beemers or Mercedes’. We really don’t know much about this but it will come with either a gas or diesal 3.oL V6 engine. Sure, it’s not a lot of muscle but that’s not the point of a Maserati. Price is still unknown but it’ll be a pretty penny for sure.
For this edition of AYMR?, we’re stepping away from the sports car and hitting the trails. When you hear the word Shelby, your mind probably automatically goes to Ford’s muscle cars. Though it has plenty of muscle, the Shelby Raptor is not a sports car. Far from it, actually. Adding the Raptor to the Shelby brand basically turns an already tough truck into quite the beast. The 2.9L supercharger V8 engine pumps out over 500 horsepower. Starting at $18,000, you have the option of three different color schemes.
Do you have six figures to spend on a car? If you do, look no further. The 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is the perfect ride for you. First off, come on, it’s a Porsche. Of course it’s going be awesome. The Panamera sedan has 95 horsepower, all electric engine, and a lithium-ion battery that can charge in just two and a half hours. You may be thinking 95 horsepower isn’t very much but that’s just the electric motor. It also has a twin-turbo 3.0L v6, capable of getting up to 167 MPH. Like we said, it is a Porsche. Expect to see this ride later this year and starting at $99,000.
It’s that time of the week that makes you want to go car shopping. Yep, it’s time to look at some sweet new rides. The all-new 2014 Range Rover Sport is just like its predecessor except this year, the SUV went on a diet. Shedding about 800 pounds, the Range Rover features an extremely strong aluminum structure, four-wheel drive, and a 340 horsepower, 3.oL super-charged V6 engine or you opt for 510 horsepower V8. Starting at $64,000, you’ll be riding in class with this new ride, it is a Range Rover after all.
What guy hasn’t dreamt of driving and owning a Dodge Viper? Now that you’re all grown up and if your bank account allows, you can do so. The 2014 SRT Viper TA is stunning. Its 8.4L aluminum V10 engine produces upward of 640 hp. This car designed for the track and races with an upgraded suspension, upgraded Brembo brakes, and an advanced aerodynamics package. There are only going to be 33 built and all with the Crusher Orange paint job. Price is still TBA.
In this week’s edition of Are You My Ride? we’re going a more bank-friendly route. If you’re in the market for a new automobile, the 2014 Volkswagen GTI is just what you’re looking for. Volkswagen will soon be middle-aged. Its sporty and beloved hatchback is all about more power and speed this time around. For the first time ever, the GTI will be available in two options, a 220 HP or 230 HP engine. It’s fast engine doesn’t stifle fuel consumption, though. The GTI will be getting around 39 miles to the gallon. Not bad and for around just $36,000. Be on look out for it this summer.
It’s been a while since we’ve featured a Porsche on Are You My Ride? Without further ado, here is the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3. Since it’s a 911, you know it’s going to be fast. Its 3.8L six-cylinder boxer engine will get you around 475 HP and will be capable of a top speed of 195 MPH. It’s zero to sixty is a staggering 3.3 seconds. You don’t need all that speed but you definitely want it. It can all be yours if you have the $130,000 to shell out for it. We’re saving our pennies now.
This installment of Are You My Ride? is a doozy. We all know Lambos are top of the line automobiles but the Lamborghini Veneno takes the cake. Its 740 horsepower 6.5 liter V12 engine with a seven-speed transmission will get you flying at top speed of 220 MPH. Is it necessary to go that fast? No. Is it awesome? Yes. This supercar looks like something out of a science-fiction movie. Lucky for us, it’s not. This ride can be yours for a mere $4.6 million. Keep dreaming.
After a lengthy hiatus, the Jeep Cherokee is finally making a comeback. The widely popular SUV last saw the production line back in 2001. It’s hard to believe it’s been more than decade since we’ve seen the Cherokee. Nonetheless, it’s back and with a vengeance. Rumored to replace the Liberty, the Cherokee has had a major facelift, mainly by replacing its famous boxy shape. The new 2014 Cherokee falls in the gray area between a mid-sized SUV and hatchback. Price is still to be announces.
We’re going to go a little old school for today’s Are You My Ride. The Wagonmaster Vintage Jeep Wagoneers was a staple of Americana. Back in the ’70s, you would throw your family, camping gear, food and drinks, and the dog all in there and still have some room. If you lived on the west coast, you’re surfboard was strapped to the top. The Woody is one of the iconic automobiles ever. For around $30,000 to $45,000 you can have your very own, brand-new (basically) Wagoneer.

Its 6.0L V12 engine gives the S 550 hp and the ability to go from zero to 60 in just 4.7 seconds. New interior features, LED headlamps, large air-intakes, new technology that detects if you’re getting drowsy behind the wheel are just some of awesome things about this Benz. What’s not awesome? The TBA price.
