Worth Reapeating: Snapshots of the Soul: Jennifer’s Fashion...

January 22, 2012 | 11:00 AM | Furniture | By Tierra Wilson

As chosen by you, here are the top stories of ALL TIME aka last week, just in case you missed them.

What do you get when you mix an accessories designer, an architect and an Al Beadle condo remodel project? You get a “fashterior” aka a unique and quirky modern space inspired by fashion (btw – we just coined that word). Equally intriguing as the space itself is the owner Jennifer Paige Boonlorn, the accessories designer behind Soul Carrier, a unique brand that takes interesting materials, like recycled seat belts, and turns them into fashion accessories.

Jennifer’s remodeled Beadle Box, on the southside of Camelback, is a product of her passion for fashion, modern design and her friendship with architect Bob Wilkinson “I worked with Bob Wilkinson to completely renovate my Beadle Box. Bob and I were college friends, and I was his first client after he left Construction Zone last year to form his own company Worksite,” says Jennifer. »READ MORE

OCD Meets Interiors in Style’s Fashionable New Show

January 10, 2012 | 2:15 PM | Home & Design | By Tierra Wilson

Before your roll your eyes at the thought of another reality show that “fixes” someone’s home, we promise this one is worth watching. This new show brings us everything we love about reality television – a young, stylish and beautiful OCD star, whose perfectionist tendencies has led her to build a successful organizing empire in Style Network’s new show, The Amandas, airing on Monday, January 30 at 8:00 pm ET/PT.

The star of the show, Amanda LeBlanc is a mom, wife, business owner and Hurricane Katrina survivor. Just to give you an idea, when we think of Amanda, we think of the movie “I Don’t Know How She Does It” mixed with Martha Stewart with a sprinkle of Bree Van de Kamp topped with “The Devil Wears Prada.” Intrigued yet?

Amanda, and her trained team of organizers “The Amandas”, change lives and attack client’s projects including NeNe from Housewives of Atlanta, one room at a time. However, dealing with Amanda’s perfectionism isn’t always easy, as you’ll see in each episode. In one scene, Amanda finds a smudge on a window and literally can’t concentrate until it’s gone.

We had the pleasure of getting an exclusive with Style Network star on how to keep our desert digs organized in 2012: »READ MORE

Glamorizing ‘The Nook’

October 11, 2011 | 1:00 PM | Home & Design | By Tierra Wilson

“The Nook”, we all have one. That corner of your home that you just can’t seem to get right? You know…that blank wall and empty space begging for functionality, design, character and modern aesthetics. “The Nook” is usually the last spot in the room to decorate, but it’s also the area that seems to pull your space together and add that touch of personality that’s been missing.

When pondering the answer to this frequently asked design question, we stumbled upon HYGGE & WEST (an online store focused on modern wallpaper designers) founded by home and design duos Christiana and Aimee. Both obsessed with educating the world on living better, the two, who are like having interior designers as best friends, sent DLT some inspiration for that last corner of our homes… and who woulda thought that the answer to our question would be to “WIY”…Wallpaper It Yourself?

Home Sexy Home

September 27, 2011 | 11:45 AM | Home & Design | By Tierra Wilson

Some homes are just that, a house…3 bedroom 1 bath located in “Blah Blah Neighborhood.” But some homes are sexy, they have clean and sleek pools, modern and hip furnishings and stunning architecture. At $2,515,000, the modern masterpiece by William Cody & Al Beadle located 6969 N. Little Tatum Boulevard in Paradise Valley, is one of those sexy and suave dwellings.

This 4,450 square foot 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom home was pegged “Mid-Century made Modern.” However, the sexiness comes from the steel flooring, floor to ceiling windows, views of Camelback Mountain, stainless steel appliances, luxury wine room, see-through car garage and the AH-MAZING outdoor pool and patio area. This home is so sexy that we can easily picture James Bond vacationing here or maybe Ashton Kutcher throwing an exclusive house soiree.

If you want to call this modern masterpiece “Home Sexy Home” check out the full gallery captured by Howard Kuflik or contact John Todd Simpson at Realty USA South for a showing.

Futurism Meets Modernism

September 13, 2011 | 11:00 AM | Home & Design | By Tierra Wilson

Curious about where Arizona’s rich and famous will lay their heads in the future? Our home and design team found out, without a Quantam Phyics Degree or time machine. We simply punched 10863 Purple Aster Way into our GPS and ended up staring at a jaw dropping modern masterpiece. Located in Scottsdale’s Sunset Canyon Luxury Golf Community, everything, and we mean everything, about this house screams futurism including the home automation systems, the cool street name, the architecture and the interior design.

The dream team who created this unique $6.25 million dollar mash of futurism and modernism include Masters of the Southwest winners Architect Gorden Rogers and interior designers Eric & Dorthy Bron. Some property highlights include a two wing floor plan, Valley wide views, 8 car garage and Desert Mountain Club Golf Membership. Take a trip “to infinity and beyond” (we couldn’t resist) by immersing yourself in the full photo gallery.
