If you’re a fan of hip hop then you’re going to love today’s New Music Monday. Rapper Macklemore and his buddy, DJ and producer, Ryan Lewis have been working on hard their album The Heist. Released on October 9, the album sold a surprising 97,000 so far and debuted number 1 on iTunes. Not to mention, it’s currently number 2 on the Top 40. That’s really impressive for an independently recorded and released album. The music has a great message behind it. Anything from equal rights to not being bought by major labels, Macklemore has a way with words that makes you feel good. They even make their own music videos. Check out Thrift Shop.
