Phoenix Suns Doing Good Outside of the Court

October 10, 2012 | 10:00 AM | News | By Maxfield Barker

On Oct. 11, our beloved Phoenix Suns will unveil the John Macleod Reading & Learning Center. Suns Ring of Honor member John Macleod was inducted last season into the organization. The Ring of Honor organization said that they would open a reading and learning center in his honor. That time has come.

With Suns president Jason Rowley and NBA Hall of Famer Bob Lanier, the trio will unveil the center at the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Phoenix, Spencer D and Mary Jane Steward branch at 9:00 a.m. on Oct. 11.

The center will feature a brand new computer room, and a TV designed to look like the Suns in-game scoreboard. The “Coach’s Corner,” is a reading area that is decorated with fan graphics, where children can read their favorite books.
