Walk With Humble Pie

October 8, 2012 | 12:00 PM | Events | By Maxfield Barker

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Recently, we brought you a post about Humble Pie’s Pink Menu. The menu features items where proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. Humble Pie is going one step (or many) further.

On October 14, join team Humble Pie for the  2012 Race for the Cure walk. Tim Valencia, an owner operator of Humble, lost his mother to the deadly disease. For the last three years, he has made it a personal goal to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure. This year, he hopes to have 200 teammates with him during the walk.

After the walk, there will be an after party at the Humble Pie on 7th street. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. you can enjoy live music, and food and drink specials for all runners and walkers sporting pink attire or your race bib (every location will offer these specials on the 14th.)
