New Music Monday: Mumford and Sons

October 1, 2012 | 10:00 AM | Sound | By Maxfield Barker

We’ve waited three long years for Mumford and Sons to release a new album. The 2009 smash hit Sigh No More practically wore out our iPod. Well friends, the wait is over. Released on September 24, their new album, Babel, has exceeded our hopes. This folk band that hails from the U.K. is simply amazing. From them, we’ve learned that you don’t need fancy electronics to make good music, which is quite refreshing to see (and hear for that matter.) All you need is an acoustic guitar, stand-up bass, keyboards, and a banjo. It’s like these came straight out of yesteryear. Check out their single, which we’ve graciously provided you, I Will Wait.
