DIY Fridays: Window Shutter Mail Holder

September 28, 2012 | 2:00 PM | Shop & Style | By Maxfield Barker

We at DLT like to make your life easier. So, for today’s DIY project we bring you one of the most simple projects. It’s the Window Shutter Mail Holder. You only really need one thing: An old fashioned window shutter with the slates. You can probably pick one up at a garage sale, thrift store, antique store, etc. Paint it whatever color to your liking. Pick where you want to put up in your house and mount it. Mounting might be tricky if you don’t want to use nails. We recommend heading to the hardware store and looking for some double-sided adhesive that won’t ruin your wall. Once the shutter is up there, you’re ready to go with your cool new and vintage mail holder.
