September 28 marks the opening of the Texas State Fair. So, what does that have to do with you? Everything, of course! TEXAZ will once again be offering their State Fare Menu that will feature Texas classics such as “Fletcher’s Original State Fair Corny Dog” and the iconic Frito Pie.

From Friday, September 28 to Sunday, October 21st you can enjoy state fair treats all month long. Check out the whole menu.

“Fletcher’s Original State Fair Corny Dog” ($6)
As perfected by vaudevillians Neil and Carl Fletcher of Dallas, TX, “Fletcher’s Original State Fair Corny Dog” has been a State Fair of Texas staple since 1942. Two Corny Dogs served with a bag of Frito’s.

Frito Pie ($5)
Said to be invented by Daisy Dean Doolin, mother of the founder of the Frito-Lay company, in the 1930’s, this dish is a Texas original. Now available on the daily menu, TEXAZ Grill’s version features homemade chili served in a small bag of Frito’s corn chips, topped with onions and cheese and served with fried potatoes and a plastic spoon—now that’s authentic!

Blue Bell Cotton Candy Ice Cream ($1 per scoop)
Cotton Candy in the form of ice cream! Blue Bell Creameries has been a Texas tradition for over a century and has made an appearance at the Texas State Fair year after year.
