Looking for a patriotic way to spend the 4th? Here’s our top five classically American ideas for the entire family to celebrate Independence Day in the Valley next week:
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Diego Padres - Watch these two teams face off Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. at Chase Field. The first 20,000 fans get a free stars and stripes T-shirt courtesy of Ram Trucks. Tickets start at $12.
Independence Day Music Festival - See country music performances by Miranda Lambert and Darius Rucker followed by a fireworks display Tuesday at the Salt River Fields. The event’s pre-party begins at 3 p.m., followed by the concert at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks display at 10:30 p.m. Admission ranges from $22 to $89 and firework viewing is free with $10 parking.
Hollywood and Wine featuring Clint Black - The Arizona Biltmore will host Clint Black live in concert Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m. Celebrate the 4th of July with a performance by a country music legend who has sold more than 20 million albums. Doors open at 7 p.m. Ticket prices start at $22, must be 21 or older with valid I.D.
Support the Troops - Visit any Arizona Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (drive-thru until midnight) Wednesday and 100 percent of the profits go to Packages from Home, an organization that ships care packages to U.S. troops overseas.
Wet ‘n’ Wild waterpark events - Wet ‘n’ Wild waterpark is hosting two seperate promotions this 4th of July. From July 2 to 5, the Salute To Our Heros event includes free admission for veterans, military and first responders along with family member admission reduced to $19.99 plus tax, per person for up to six people. Applicable identification required. The waterpark is also hosting a 4th of July all-you-can-eat barbecue from 7 to 8:30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks display is free with park admission and barbecue meal tickets are available from $9.99 to $11.99 plus tax.
