With the Academy Awards coming up, it is that time again when celebrities will be strutting their stuff down the red carpet. It’s perfect motivation to keep up your workout routine, or for some, to start one. The trainers at AZ Pro Physiques in Gilbert have tips and ideas on how the stars get ready for the red carpet and how you can too.
Start your day with 30 – 45 minutes of cardio. Working out before breakfast helps you tap into fat reserves you want out. Weight train every other day with cardio to help build lean muscle mass and boost metabolism.
Concentrate on eating five small, healthy meals a day. Keep a protein-rich diet and skip carbs at dinner. A diet breakdown of 35 – 50 percent protein, 25 – 25 percent carbs, and 15 – 20 percent fats is the goal. Try to cut out as many artificial susbtances (Splenda, soda, gum, etc.) as you can. And of course drink plenty of water.
Pepare your meals ahead of time and shop with a list. If you hold yourself accountable and resist every temptation, it’ll pay off in the end. Follow these steps and you’ll be red carpet ready in no time.
So get to it folks, it’ll be pool season before you know it.
