When thinking of electric cars you wouldn’t normally coincide efficiency with performance, but that is not the case with the 2013 Tesla Model X, or any Tesla automobile for that matter. This Silicon Valley-based company is known for making electric cars and car components and introduced the first fully electric sports car. Now Tesla introduces its electric cross-over, perfect for parents with a need for style and speed. With the ability to go from zero to 60 in just 4.4 seconds, the Model X does not skimp on performance, not to mention the ability to go 160-300 miles on just one charge. The sleek, futuristic design includes Falcon Wing doors (think the DeLorean in Back to the Future.) Production doesn’t begin until late 2013 and with the first deliveries going out early 2014.
