The Weekly Wrap

January 21, 2012 | 10:00 AM | The Weekly Wrap | By Maxfield Barker

It’s been another fantastic week here at DLT. Here is a look at what went down in the Valley this past week.

Adrian Wilson made an appearance at the Scottsdale Waterfront for the Global Family Philanthropy’s Pop-Up Charity. We spoke to the co-owner of local supplement company OneBode about their natural supplements and relationship with Steve Nash. Speaking of basketball, aren’t you glad it’s back?

Cosmetology school Kohler Academy got a makeover. Or rather a name-makeover after a run-in after corporate bully Kohler. We took a look at Soul Carrier, a unique brand that takes interesting materials, like recycled seat belts, and turns them into fashion accessories. We previewed Madama Butterfly, which opens its wings in the Valley next week.

We also sat down with Bella’s House and Pet Sitting owner Bella Vasta. Formula One driver Stefan Johansson showcased his luxury watch collection at The W Scottsdale Thursday night. From now until March 3, at the Scottsdale Farmer’s Market local chefs and local food producers will be teaching Valley residents with “Savoring the Season,” an Edible Education Series from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday. And there’s plenty to talk about with our new column Hometown Low Down: This Week in Valley Media.

Have a great weekend!
