Life and Los Muertos

Scottsdale’s Musical Instrument Museum is looking to bring an authentic Day of the Dead experience to the Valley with their “Día de los Muertos: A Celebration of Life through Music” November 5-6. The museum has paired with the Consulate General of Mexico in Phoenix for the festivities this year and will be featuring a variety of events and performances throughout the weekend.

The events include setting up a community altar where guests are encouraged to bring photos, mementos, and other ofrendas (offerings) honoring their loved ones and a display of altars created by local children. The celebration will also feature a variety of musical and dance performances, authentic Mexican cuisine, live paintings and storytellers and much more.

Check out the event’s website for more full details.
