When it was announced that Iron Chef Jose Garces would be the executive chef at the Saguaro Hotel‘s many dining venues, we were thrilled! Now, there are even more reasons to jump for joy and they all circulate around tacos. Garces named Dave Conn the chef de cuisine at the three restaurant concepts opening up and he will be offering a first taste of what’s in store at the hotel’s flagship modern Mexican restaurant, Distrito, at Saturday’s Second Annual Arizona Taco Festival. Want to try the mahi mahi tacos (pictured)? the carnitas? how about the chicken ropa vieja? Well, you can shovel ‘em all in before the rest and then brag about it.
