Get a team of good-humored pals together, grab a cold beer, and pedal your two-wheel whip to New Belgium Brewing Company‘s Tour de Fat, coming to Tempe Town Lake on Saturday, October 15.

Admission is free and there is a $5 suggested donation to join in the costumed bicycle parade from 10 – 11 a.m. After the parade is over, enjoy live entertainment and $5 pints of New Belgium brews (such as DLT-fav Mothership Wit) until 4 p.m. All beer and merchandise proceeds go to support local cycling non-profits.

Another highlight of Tour de Fat is the annual car-for-bike swap. New Belgium is looking for one person to represent Tempe and live car-free for one year! If you’ve got what it takes to commit to living without your car for 12 months, they will hook you up with a Black Sheep commuter bike.
