Though the NBA is in a lockout and players like Steve Nash are kicking around soccer balls instead of shooting game-winning free throws, the Phoenix Suns organization is holding court with a line up of community activities as the drama gets hashed out and the Suns recruit a new CEO.
Wednesday, September 14th, meet the Suns’ Dancers as they unveil their new 2011-12 uniforms at a free event from 6 – 8 p.m. Win raffle prizes and purchase the new 11-game ticket plan.
Friday, September 16, the Suns’ Operation Orange initiative will be rolling into USA Skateland in Chandler. From 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., anyone wearing orange will get free admission and can roll around the rink and participate in family-friendly games with the Gorilla, Suns Dancers, Solar Squad and of course, our favorite ex-player-turned-emcee, Cedric Ceballos.
Do you have mad trampoline and acrobatic skills (like us) that you’ve just been dying to show off (again, like us)? It’s time to put those hours spent perfecting your back flip in the backyard to good use. Audition for the high-flying Verve Sol Patrol team, on Saturday, September 17th at 10 a.m. at US Airways Center to join the “Sol” train if when the season resumes.
