Here at DLT, we have a whole lotta love for local music venues and all of the great times we can barely remember in them. That familiar smell of beer and sweat, the inch thick layer of stickers covering the bathroom stalls and all the memories of hundreds of musical acts gracing the worn out stage is pretty awesome. For these reasons, we are stoked about the opening of Foundry on First in downtown Phoenix (1st and Jackson). The brand new, mid-size musical venue will open on Saturday, July 10 with New Orleans rockers, Cowboy Mouth and will coincide with the start MLB All-Star week bringing together baseball and rock n’ roll: two of America’s most American past times. The best part of a new venue? Knowing that you get to be a part of all the sweaty, beer soaked memories to come and hearing some great music in the process. Doors open at 7 pm and you can buy your tickets in advance here. Rock on, Phoenix. Rock on.
