Stars and Straps: Him

June 30, 2011 | 4:14 PM | Him | By Rebecca Bogdansky

Don’t worry guys, we didn’t forget about you. We’ve put together a 4th of July fashion guide for you also. We combined classic, All-American looks with some must-have festive pieces. No American Flag ties here. Check out the fashions after the jump.

Linen Shirt

Linen Shirt: It’s unbearably hot outside so stay as cool as possible in this breathable striped short sleeve linen shirt from L.L.Bean ($55). It’s oh so soft and will stay wrinkle-free all day.

Sneaker: If you’re heading to the park for fireworks you’ll want to change out of your flip flops into a pair of sneakers. The Converse distressed Jack Purcell sneaker is the perfect addition to any casual outfit. The navy blue kicks can be found at J.Crew for $65

Red Chino Short: Red is a necessity for any 4th of July ensemble so try pairing these red chino shorts from Topman ($50) with a white t-shirt during the day and a white oxford to dress it up at night.

Wayfarer Sunglasses: If you don’t have a pair of classic Ray-Bans yet, now is the time to snag a pair. The blue pair is festive and practical and can be purchased for $145 at Ray-Ban.

Navy Swim Trunk: Please, stay away from those disastrous American Flag swim trunks that make an appearance in stores every July. Instead, sport a clean-cut navy blue pair at the pool this 4th of July. Steven Alan has the perfect pair for $148.

Red Chino Shorts

Striped Pant: Feeling gutsy? Wear the Seersucker Pant ($113) from J.Press this Independence Day for classy and clean-cut look. The blue and white striped trouser is light-weight and is a must-have for all the country club goers.

Flip Flops: Grab a pair of white Havaianas flip flops from Nordstrom before heading to the pool. They’re affordable at just $18.

Baseball Cap: Finish off any ensemble with a vintage baseball cap from J.Crew for $15. Choose between old red or vintage blue to add some color and keep the hot Arizona sun out of your eyes.
