Double the Coachella, Double the Fun

Thanks to our avid reading of Pitchfork, we are on top of hipster happenings in the music world and are able to share with you some pretty exciting news. Coachella, one of the world’s most famous music festivals, will be expanding to two whole weekends in April (13-15, 20-22) with an attempt to create an identical line-up so you won’t miss out on any of the fun. This past April, the festival sold-out within days of releasing the musical acts to grace the multiple stage much to the disappointment of thousands (including those who work here at DLT). To avoid weeping audiophiles the world over, we applaud Coachella for making their festival more accessible, but will this be a hinderance to the Hipster Mermaid types in the world who praise exclusivity? And how will they avoid scheduling conflicts with the hundreds of bands now booking for two weekends instead of just one? It all remains to be seen, but you can buy your pre-sale tickets starting June 2 on Coachella’s website to avoid missing out yet again.
