One Spicy Read

Ever wondered what’s the dealio with that neon-red hot sauce with the rooster logo and funny name that’s found in every Asian restaurant? Well, we’re not sure either, but that hasn’t stopped from ordering this awesome-sounding Sriracha Cookbook. Featuring recipes such as Honey-Sriracha Glazed Buffalo Wings, Bacon-Sriracha Cornbread, and the Mexico-meets-Asia Srirachelada, we just can’t get enough of this addictively spicy, garlicky chile sauce.

In the meantime, we’ll just have to settle for Pita Jungle‘s Chicken Shawarma smothered in Sriracha (again). And if you think you’re a rooster sauce fanatic, click read more to see one Sriracha lover’s plan to turn this sauce into its own USDA food group.

Although it was named Bon Appétit’s Ingredient of the Year in 2010, one photoshop-savvy food fanatic decided Sriracha need a little more respect. Please to enjoy the new Sriracha-centric USDA Food Pyramid.
