March 11, 2011 | 3:01 PM | Bars | By Staff

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And then add a little bourbon. Okay, a bit more bourbon. Perfect. Or you could just leave it up to the experts at Sapporo to mix up a Gingered Bourbon Lemonade. Better follow the recipe perfectly because left to your own devices it would probably taste like…bourbon.

Recipe:
1.25 oz Citrus-infused Woodford Reserve Bourbon
1.5 oz Freshly made Sour Mix
.5 oz Simple syrup
.75 oz Cointreau
2 oz Lemon-lime soda
3 slices Lemon wheels
20 Fresh Ginger – cut into matchsticks
Candied Ginger, skewered

Prep:
Muddle together fresh ginger and simple syrup
Add bourbon, cointreau, and sour mix
Add two slices of lemon and shake four times
Pour into glass and top off with additional ice and lemon-lime soda
Garnish with candied ginger skewers and lemon slices
