Top 10 In 2010: One Hail Of A Sale

December 31, 2010 | 10:05 AM | Deals | By Lacee Wentworth

As chosen by you, here are the most popular stories OF ALL TIME (or at least since we launched way back in April). Introducing the 2nd most intriguing story of 2010:

This week’s freak hail and thunderstorms had people all over town scrambling for cover. (Unless of course, you’re this guy.) However, now that the skies have cleared, bargain shoppers are discovering a silver lining. Turns out the golf ball sized hail left hundreds of cars damaged at Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep and Dodge, Chapman Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Mazda and Sanderson Ford Lincoln Mercury in the Phoenix area. Which can only mean one thing for this weekend’s forecast: Hail Sales!

The Sales Department at Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep and Dodge informed us that they will have appraisers on hand during their Hail Sale Days to total up the damages on the car of your choice. Up to 50 percent off the original pricing will be offered after appraisal on how much the face-lift will cost to restore the beauty of the vehicle you choose.

Chapman Hyundai Mitsubishi and Mazda has discounted every car damaged by Tuesday’s hail storms. Every car has experienced different amounts of damage, therefore cars are discounted at different rates around the lot. “Repairs for some vehicles could cost as much as $10,000,” General Sales Manager Chris Knaub said according to AZCentral. No cars with safety issues or broken glass caused by the storm will be sold.

Sanderson Ford Lincoln Mercury will also offer Hail Sales as soon as they hear from their insurance company. Once they get an average total cost of damages, they are absolutely ready to discount their cosmetically damaged vehicles.
