Scoop Factory is still dishing up daily freebies, like this fab Neiman Marcus prize package. (Sadly, the walk-in gingerbread house is not included):
Now celebrating its 50th Anniversary, Neiman Marcus’ “The Christmas Book” is an ode to seriously-over-the-top gift giving. Are you looking for a $1.5M pool sculpture designed by famed blown-glass artist, Dale Chihuly? Or maybe a customizable cupcake car tricked out with your favorite toppings (it’s just as silly as it sounds). Or why not spoil the little ones with your basic walk-in Edible Gingerbread Playhouse (pictured), a $15,000 munchable manor handcrafted of 381 lbs. of gourmet gingerbread and 517 lbs. of royal icing by those crazed confectioners at Dylan’s Candy Bar? For realsies!
It all started in 1960, when the owner of this Dallas-based boutique challenged his staff to come up with insanely-unexpected gift ideas. Someone suggested ‘his and hers’ private planes, and the rest is high-end history. Of course, here at Scoop Factory we’re in the midst of our own annual winter wonderland, known as the Scoop Factory Scoopstakes. And while we couldn’t quite swing the gift of his and hers 2,000-year-old mummy cases (like NM offered back in 1971), we did Scoop up quite a tasteful (and tasty) treat.
Yes, we’re giving away a $200 Neiman Marcus gift certificate, as well as lunch for two at the scrumptious NM Café. Simply comment on the this very post about today’s Scoopstakes prize. Good luck, and happy gifting. (For the record, Scoop wears a size 2 dress. OK, a 6 8.)
