DIY Friday (on a Tuesday): Chanel Nail Polish

December 7, 2010 | 9:36 AM | Shop & Style | By Lacee Wentworth

Chanel is the epitome of everything IN when it comes to fashion and beauty. The French mainstay introduced its new Les Khakis de Chanel limited edition nail-polish collection back in October featuring Khaki Vert, Khaki Brun and Khaki Rose (pictured right). No doubt about it, we are all about these three fab military-inspired colors and all Coco, but $90 a bottle? Back in July we put your mixing skills to the test with our DIY: Chanel Nouvelle Vague and now our friends at Nylon have found three more concoctions to save your wallet from some severe damage.

The Recipes: (As pictured from left to right)

Khaki Rose

Main color: Use Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails in “Chocolate”
Add: Brucci Nail Hardener in “Crème De Cocoa”
And a drop of: American Apparel’s “Summer Peach”

Khaki Brun

Main color: Brucci Nail Hardener in “Crème De Cocoa”
Add: American Apparel’s “Summer Peach”
And a drop of: Any bright red

Khaki Vert

Main color: American Apparel’s “Summer Peach”
