If you get as excited as we do about the Tempe Festival of the Arts then you most likely already know it’s this weekend (December 3 – 5). But, there’s a new eco-friendly addition you may not know about. Info after the jump!
Mill frequenters all know that parking anywhere in the area is hell and free parking is out of the question (unless you’re sly and can outsmart meter readers). Good news for this weekend’s jam-packed festival, Nissan will be taking up the entire public parking lot behind Z’Tejas. It’s a tradeoff we’re willing to accept, however, since festival-goers will be able to test drive the all-electric Nissan Leaf as well as receive an overview of charging and operations. Neat-o! Sign up for a test drive here or just rely on the ‘ol first-come, first-served method. Nissan expects about 1,500 test drivers this weekend so if this is screaming your name, we’d recommend the sign up.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the Tempe Festival of the Arts, it’s a three day craft fest that takes over the streets of the Mill Avenue District. You know, the strip where Tempe 21+ers get drunk every weekend? Yeah, that place. Can’t beat three days of food, arts and entertainment with free admission. The festival will last each day from 10 am to dusk and if we’ve worried you about parking, fear no more. Parking map here.
