Quick: What do Lou Ferrigno and Steven Seagal have in common? Well, aside from being washed up action stars (Ferrigno was TV’s original Incredible Hulk, Segal cranked out chop-socky flicks in the late 80s), both are coming soon to desert near you. Yes, these publicity-starved patriots have joined forces with the gimmicky PR maestro, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, to join his gimmicky “Immigration Posse.”
According to the Washington Times, Arpaio created the new 56-person strong civilian posse to give citizens a chance to serve as “illegal immigration fighters.” However, he admitted that super-duper stars such as Segal and Ferrigno might be too busy to do much actual sand sifting out in the desert (Then again, Ferrigno’s personal website is the practically pleading, BookLou.com, so maybe not.)
“These guys are busy with their acting careers so I don’t expect them to be here on duty very often,” Sheriff Arpaio said. “That said, you really don’t want to mess with these guys. You wouldn’t like them when they’re angry.” (OK, we made that last part up. But that’s what he should have said, Jason Rose.)
Needless to say, if you spot a green-skinned shirtless dude creeping around your backyard, don’t worry. He’s with the boys in blue.
