New Restaurants to Bite Into

New restaurants are opening their doors all over the Valley. Three opened up this week, and DLT has the scoop you’re craving after the jump!

Taberna

Taberna

Legacy Restaurants, the Houston-based restaurant group that brought you a branch of Ninfa’s Mexican Kitchen to the West Valley earlier this year, has opened yet another modern take on classic Mexican cuisine. Named Taberna Mexicana, it’s taken over the space at the Scottsdale Seville that used to be the home of Roy’s. Here you’ll discover signature dishes such as tuna, scallop, shrimp or halibut ceviches; Yucantan pork tamale; a very very very spicy shrimp Diablo; and chicken mushroom quesadillas. 7001 N. Scottsdale Rd., (Scottsdale Seville)

The Old Spaghetti Factory-Chandler

Recognized by Parents Magazine as one of the top 10 family-friendly restaurant chains in the nation, The Old Spaghetti Factory has arrived in Chandler. Originally launched in Portland, OR, kids of all ages have been swirling and slurping pasta at the Mid-Town Phoenix location since (whoa!) 1972. Opening, Monday, November 22, the Chandler location will offer a similar mix of casual sit-down atmosphere and affordable lunches and dinners. Don’t forget to call ahead and request to sit inside the old train caboose, located in each restaurant. 3155 W. Chandler Blvd., Chandler

True Food Kitchen

True Food Kitchen first opened at the Biltmore Fashion Park two years ago, and after a successful run of the “good food that is good for you” Fox Restaurant Concept their third location opened on Monday, November 15 at the new Scottsdale Quarter.

While the interior decor and menu choices at this location will be the similar, each True Food Kitchen has a unique design and menu selections that are location specific. Watch out Biltmore, the Scottsdale location will feature more entree choices, a full bar, an expanded cocktail list, a herb garden and for the first time solar panels will power part of the restaurant. This environmentally friendly concept goes along with True Food motto of using locally and regionally sourced ingredients to create a pure simple menu. 15191 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale
