Lunch Time Theater Turns 10

November 3, 2010 | 8:31 AM | Art & Entertainment | By Lacee Wentworth

Yesterday, the 10th season of the Herberger Theater Center‘s Lunch Time Theater kicked off inside this newly-remodeled performance space in Downtown Phoenix. Dedicated to showcasing the works of emerging theater companies, we can’t think of a better way to spend your precious lunch hour than feeding your brain with a 30-45 minute play. Bring your lunch, or order a boxed lunch from Coffea Cafe, and then pre-order your tickets online here for only $6! The first performance to take The Kax Stage this season will be New Carpa Theater‘s production of The Manic Hispanic: On the Air. Deets after the jump!

The first show in the Lunch Time Series will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays of this month, on November 2-4 and 9-11. The Manic Hispanic features veteran Top 40 DJ James Rivas in a satrical look at the cut-throat world of pop music radio.

Can’t convince the boss to let you wander over to the Herberger Theater during your lunch break? Catch a sneak peak of the Lunch Time Theater shows every Monday night of opening week for half price ($3). The preview show starts at 7 pm, and aspiring actors with resume and headshots get in free to this showing. Not Fair!
