October 28, 2010 | 9:56 AM | Restaurants | By Amanda Szot

Introducing DLT‘s latest contributor, Amanda Szot. Pronounced just like “hot,” she’s our favorite local blogger, fashionista, amateur chef and aspiring TV host. Today’s Object of Desire: Sterling’s Gold

October 27, 2010 | 5:03 PM | Exhibits | By Staff

This is where real life and TV life get confusing. “Sterling’s Gold, Wit and Wisdom of an Ad Man” is a new novel being published by Grove/Atlantic this November. So who’s Roger Sterling? In case you aren’t a Mad Men devotee (in which case, get on board), Sterling is one of the (blowardy) bosses at the fictional ad agency where the show takes place, who decided to to write a book. Although it fails to sell in the series, now you can read such golden nuggets as, “When a man gets to a point in his life when his name’s on the building, he can get an unnatural sense of entitlement.”  And our personal favorite, “Remember, when God closes a door, he opens a dress.” Can’t wait.

Not only is the design sleek and modern, you’re able to brew loose leaf tea and watch as the H2O becomes a hypnotizing amber color. You’re getting sleepy, very sleepy …
