Like us, our office-mates at Scoop Factory have got vines on the mind. Warning, freebies ahead:
Did you know that Arizona is one of the most geographically-diverse states in the nation? From the largest Ponderosa Pine forrest on the continent, to the sprawling farmlands outside Yuma, (aka the “World’s Winter Lettuce Capital”), AZ is much more than just a sun-baked desert. So it should come as no surprise that certain pockets of our state have the perfect climate, elevation and terrior for growing top-notch grapes. In fact, AZ is home to 45 licensed wineries, while some of our finest vintages have even been poured at the White House.
Now you can taste the fruits of these winemakers’ labor at a wine-filled outdoor festival held under the pecan trees at the Farm at South Mountain. Hosted on Saturday, Nov. 6, The Festival at The Farm lets guests sniff, swirl and sip wines from 24 Arizona wineries, all while noshing on a gourmet picnic lunch from Santa Barbara Catering. There will also be live music and seminars hosted by local wine experts, as well as a live auction featuring prize packages such as an intimate family-style meal prepared by a top local chef, paired with wines selected and served by a leading Arizona winemaker.
Tix to this upscale alfresco affair, hosted from 1 – 5 pm on Saturday, Nov. 6, can be purchased here for a mere $65. However, we’ve Scooped up a special $10 discount just for our readers when you enter the code AZWINEDL at check out. Offer is valid from now until tomorrow (10/29) at noon. Even betterer, we’re also giving away one pair of tix to the Festival at the Farm, and will randomly select a winner from anyone who Tweets or posts “AZ Wines” on our Facebook wall. Cheers!
