Phoenix’s Desert Botanical Garden is helping bring the autumn feel to the desert as The Great Pumpkin Festival arrives this October 21-24. And bring the kiddies; anyone under 12 can choose their own free pumpkin to take home and decorate. Details after the jump, including another patch where you can actually pluck your pumpkin right off the vine.The family-friendly festival kick off Thursday, October 21, and Friday from 9 am to 12 pm, and continue on Saturday, October 23, and Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm. The festivities will include hayrides, a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, carnival style games, Hay Bale Maze and live country entertainment to get down on the “farm”. Activities can be enjoyed by all with the purchase of admission tix for $15 for adults, $13.50 for seniors, $5 for the kiddies 3-12 and half off for students at the entrance to The Gardens. Children under 3 and Members of The Gardens will pay no admission fee to partake in the festivities.
