Calling all gossip girls and dirty laundry-loving dudes, it’s DLT’s column dedicated to the Valley’s juiciest rumors, spottings and innuendos. Check in regularly for the latest (unconfirmable), but too-good-to-not-be true tidbits.

Is Sheriff Joe opening a restaurant named Pink (Boxer) Taco? Nope. But now that we’ve got your attention, we do have a scoop on a major shakeup in the local Food/PR biz involving Arpaio’s much-feared hitman spokesman.

Unless you’re an AZ politics junkie or a member of the media, you’ve probably never heard of Jason Rose. However, this bar-owner-turned-political-guru is a real mover-and-shaker behind the scenes. Longtime PR guy for Sheriff Joe, Rose (pictured) has been named the “Big-haired, bigger-mouthed … King of AZ PR” by the Phx New Times, and is also the mastermind behind all those (predictably controversially) Stingray Sushi campaign ads popping up all over the Valley.

Now we hear that his firm, Rose & Allyn is merging/partnering with the PR pros at Prime 3, who rep lots of restaurant and resorts. In other words, expect a ‘leaked’ photo of Sheriff Joe riding the mechanical bull at Cadillac Ranch (a Prime 3 client) in the very near future.
