“On 8/9/10 (today) at 11 am, I’ll be announcing a major shift in my career, personal life and an ambitious venture that will hopefully impact our food scene.”
What on earth is Ty Largo (aka JuxtaPalate) talking about? We’ve been on the edge of our seats for weeks, and especially this morning, after a series of email teases… The Big Reveal after the jump.
Thank goodness for Scoop Factory. Turns out, Largo has joined together with longtime Valley food critic, Nikki Buchanan, and another top PR pro, Stacy Pearson, to form the new Up Agency. “So why should you care, dear non-media person?” asks Scoop. Up is promising to create a new local food and wine event that will, ”break the stodgy old food festival paradigm, serving up delicious new ways to celebrate good food and drink.”
We’re also intrigued by Up’s plan to go ‘back to the future’ by publishing a new print magazine. (Remember those)? According to Largo, the new publication will be a “niche-y print magazine plus an online service targeted toward hard-working folks in industries near and dear to our hearts.” I guess things are looking up for Largo, we’re ready to read.
