Calling all gossip girls and dirty laundry-loving dudes, introducing DLT’s newest column dedicated to the Valley’s juiciest rumors, spottings and innuendos. Check in regularly for the latest (unconfirmable), but too-good-to-not-be true tidbits.

Busy day for us gossip lovers. Looks like several of the peeps at Lucid Entertainment (Pussycat Lounge, Dirty Pretty, American Junkie) are busting out on their own. Remember Howl at the Moon, the dueling piano bar in Old Town Scottsdale that lasted about half as long as a good sing-along song?Well, it looks like that space will be transformed into a new lounge called Smashboxx. Although details are still sketchy, look for it to open this September with none other than mixologist extraordinaire, G.R. Boone behind the bar. Joining Boone at Smashboxx will be Chad Landau of Landau Entertainment, the Scottsdale-based promoter behind many of Lucid’s most memorable events.
