America’s Taco Shop is a home-grown Mexican mini chain that’s gaining serious attention from Phoenix foodies for its combination of cheap, hearty and flavorful foods. And now we hear its expanding to the East Valley.

The menu here isn’t pretentious, nor does it try to be. We love the relaxed, flip flops and shorts vibe, which pairs perfectly with the belt-busting “carne asada” or marinated, grilled steak burrito. Even better, there’s nothing on the menu over $10, while the restaurants’ Happy Hour (2 – 6 pm daily) feature $2 import beers and $1 tacos.
