Phoenix, Mesa Get a Taste of Broadway

Understated elegance Summer is a tough time for Valley theater lovers as most local stages go dark. However, it’s also the time when local theaters announce the upcoming schedules for 2010 – 11. One of our favs, The Broadway Series will be making its way to Phoenix’s legendary and beautifully restored Orpheum Theatre, as well as the futuristically designed Mesa Arts Center starting in October.

The Broadway Series’ lineup includes The Color Purple, Cirque Dreams, A Chorus Line and Spamalot, all hits on the Broadway stage. Season tickets at the Mesa Arts Center start at $95 while tickets at the Orpheum begin at $160 and include free parking (a true hassle if you’ve ever ventured to downtown Phoenix during high-profile events).

Tickets for The Broadway Series at the Orpheum and Mesa Arts Center can be purchased here.
