Biltmore Celebrates the ‘Seasons’

June 29, 2010 | 3:08 PM | Restaurants | By Frank Johnson

Breaking News: There’s a new restaurant coming to the Biltmore Fashion Park, and Sam Fox is not involved. Scheduled to open in the fall, Seasons 52 was cooked up by Florida-based Darden Restaurants, owners of such gourmet gastronomic palaces as Red Lobster and Olive Garden. However, before you dismiss this new eatery a corporate hack-job, know that Darden also owns one of our fav chophouses, The Capital Grille, while existing Seasons locations average 4/5 stars on Yelp.

So what’s the deal? Seasons 52 features an ever-changing menu (tweaked weekly, changed out quarterly), including a variety of perfect-for-sharing flatbreads served on a wooden platter. Meanwhile, the Wine Spectator Award-winning wine list (which apparently isn’t all that hard to do, but whatever) features more than 60 wines by the glass. That said, we’re most excited about the ‘Mini Indulgences‘ menu, a selection of shot-glass-sized desserts available a la carte or in a flight.
