FIFA Soccer BallFor our first Object of Desire column, we thought we’d go big or go home. Completely useless, odd and uber-expensive but still, we want one. Come on, it sparkles!

Crafted by South African jewler Shimansky in the spirit of the World Cup, this glittering orb, featuring 6,620 white diamonds and 2,640 black, will set you back a mere $2.5 million. However, after coming up just short by pooling office funds (damn economy), we’re either going to have to win the lottery, or pull an Ocean’s 11, if we’re going to bask in World Cup glory forever.
