New Dessert Craze En Route

June 22, 2010 | 8:12 AM | Restaurants | By Meghan Luther

Forget cupcakes and fro-yo, you’re never going to believe the latest gourmet food craze. A little birdie tipped us to xooro, an upscale churro company with the most clever shtick (and fabulous packaging) we’ve come across this summer. Even better, these stuffed, sugar glazed sticks are coming to the Valley later this year, with locations planned for the west Valley and the Scottsdale Quarter.

Pronounced “sure-ohs” and spelled with an “x” (in the Northern Spanish dialect), these premium Spanish fritters are the irresistible dessert ingénue you can’t help but root for.

The newest branch will be opening in the West Valley soon. Watch out, fro yo. There’s a new “make your own” indulgence coming to town.

Can’t wait? Order here. And, photo-graze below.
