Fatty Food Fight

June 22, 2010 | 9:46 AM | Restaurants | By Frank Johnson

Apparently, the food marketers of America didn’t get the memo that we are the fattest nation on earth. And we thank thank them for it from the bottom of our cheese-hardened arteries. That said, this new Friendly’s BurgerMelt looks suspiciously like a burger we once ate in Scottsdale.

But there’s no way corporate America would ever rip off someone else’s burger, right? ‘Created’ by Friendly’s, a 500-unit chain concentrated on the East Coast, this 1,500-calorie BurgerMelt is actually worse for you than KFC’s famed Double-Down. Unfortunately, (or not) you’ll have to drive some 1,500 miles to Ohio to get your fix.

When I saw this picture of Friendly’s new burger I immedetly thought “What a rip off!” I have to say the May’s Sasquatch looks much tastier too!
