Chandler’s On Point Tonight

June 17, 2010 | 2:06 PM | Art & Entertainment | By Meghan Luther

With Ballet Arizona’s 2009-2010 season ending last week, are you having dance and culture withdrawals? Put down that Ben & Jerry’s pint, because Chandler Center for the Arts has a little something to ease the pain.

Two hundred Ballet Centre dancers take the stage tonight at Chandler Center for the Arts for Be Happy, the center’s end-of-season performance. Curated by Ballet Centre Artistic Director, Marilyn Bostic, a former leading soloist with the University of Texas Ballet, showcased dance styles will include classical ballet, jazz, tap, Broadway show dances and hip-hop. Think Center Stage, minus the cheesy, I-have-the-feet-but-I-don’t-have-the-heart monologues.

Date: Thursday, June 17, 2010 Time: 7 pm Venue: Chandler Center for the Arts Price: $15
