Tapas Tap-out

Lola Tapas, the stylish and snugly-seated Spanish eatery in central Phoenix is closing its doors tonight. Founded by the original owners of the trendy LUX coffee, Lola was one of the first of a new generation of hip, urban eateries that have come to define Uptown Phoenix.

However, between the crappy economy and the scenesters moving onto other scenes, the owners finally had to throw in the red cape. Drop by tonight to enjoy a send-off shindig featuring DJ music and plenty of vino.

Says owner Felicia Ruiz, “We feel like it’s a funeral but in many cultures, when people die, it’s a celebration.”
