In case you missed it, Betty White will be hosting next week’s SNL.

So how exactly did this happen? According to The Onion’s, Nathan Rabin, “occasionally denizens of the Web feel guilty about using this powerful and revolutionary forum primarily to look for the Chelsea Handler sex tape and/or YouTube clips of kittens riding around on Roombas and decide to flex their collective muscle by embarking on a grand crusade to make the world a better, or at least a slightly cooler, place.”

That, and someone at the famously-youth-chasing show noticed that Facebook has a group called “Betty White to Host SNL (please?)!” which boasts more than a half-million supporters.
